Make it Net Zero:

a smooth transition to a low carbon future

Identify and implement carbon and cost savings throughout your business.

As the UK’s 2050 net zero target gets closer, SWMAS can help you implement the necessary changes ahead of future legislation. By starting with the basics, looking at Scope 1 and 2 emissions, to progressing to Scope 3 and your supply chain, we can simplify the entire process and help you wherever you are on your net zero journey.

SWMAS’ Make it Net Zero programme will help your business lower costs, identify improvements, highlight a range of practical steps to reduce your own impact and enable you to meet customers’ net zero expectations.

Step 1: Getting started.

Meet your dedicated, net zero specialist to explore the carbon impact of existing business processes and understand the drivers for change.

Step 2: Understand your footprint.

Your specialist will use a verified carbon footprinting tool to generate an in-depth report which will provide a benchmark for improvement.

Step 3: Plan and prioritise actions.

Identify the areas of focus that will result in the most significant carbon (and cost) reductions.

Step 4: Review and implement improvements.

Work with your specialist to develop and deploy your action plan to help your business progress towards its net zero goals.

So far, SWMAS’ net zero specialists have helped over 300 businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and we have already identified over 22,000 tonnes of carbon savings – That’s the equivalent of 12222 flights from London to New York or travelling around the world 3298 times in a diesel car!

‘‘This programme helped us identify achievable commercial benefits (including bottom line savings), increase our customer engagement, and find new revenue streams…all whilst doing our bit for the environment.’’ Nick Palmer -Managing Director, EPS Services and Tooling

”Working with SWMAS made the net zero process painless. The team provided clear and concise support throughout, which enabled us to get our carbon reduction accreditation within two months.’’ Tony Newbold – Technical & Commercial Manager, Magma Moulding

In August 2021, SWMAS pledged to halve our own emissions by 2030, and reach net zero by 2050. To enable us to achieve this, we have made changes to our operations. We review our progress regularly, as part of our ISO 14001 accreditation. The entire SWMAS team have been through carbon literacy training, which focused on understanding the changes happening around the world, assessing our own carbon footprint and learning how to reduce our own emissions and help others.

90% of businesses expected a growth in turnover after support from SWMAS!
