The Hinkley Supply Chain Programme

This programme of funded business support was led by SWMAS and delivered in collaboration with Business West and Somerset Chamber of Commerce. It was designed to help South West businesses maximise their chances of joining the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Supply Chain.


The team liaised with Tier 1 HPC contractors to identify upcoming work packages and split them into opportunities of the appropriate size and scale for small and medium-sized businesses to target. Next, these opportunities were linked to regional businesses with the capabilities needed to fulfil these contract requirements.

To help identified businesses get ready to tender for relevant HPC contracts, this programme also delivered a range of relevant support so they could develop their skills and abilities to meet the stringent requirements demanded when working in the nuclear sector.
